This may be new information for you...hope it is helpful Charles Temple married Cora Walker 10/29/1896 (MA marriage 1896-462-523) his parents were Franklin S Temple and Dora Harrington his wife's parents were Emerson Walker and Louisa Colbarn Charles and Cora had 2 children: Harwood b 1-1898 (1900 MA census) Carl b 10-1899 (1900 MA census) There is a Carl Temple with same birth date in SSDI who died 8-1929 in Ramsey, MI

Another bit of info. 12 September 1656 Margaret Upton conveyed unto John Temple a light roan or gray mare three years old next grass now running at Chuckatuck. Witnesses William Moseley and Humphrey Booth. (Rappahannock County Records 1656-64, page 10) Another entry shows that Margaret Upton als Lucas had grandchildren named Booth. John Temple must have been a close relative of Peter who d. 1694 . Miriam B.

I was thinking... Most of us live in different areas, and every library and/or research place tend to have different bits of information. What if we coordinate research patterns. For example one month we could do NC Temple families, another month VA, etc. In this way we could not only pool resources, it would be like having a worldwide library aiding us in our search. Would anyone be interested in doing this, and if so what area would be the best to start with??? Joanne
Had read Parker Temples note on a Gov Temple, but didn,t see a reply and wondered if anyone had info on this man, wife and state he was Gov of? Thanks for reading..CHigg
Hello all, Up til now the earilest we have found any documents on Major Temple was 1765 Mecklenburg Co, NC. Thanks to a fellow Kennedy researcher (Major m Mary Kennedy) we now have him even earilier: > Major Temple: > 1759: "Rowan County, North Carolina Tax Lists 1757-1800," by Jo White > Linn:. > 1759 Rowan co. Militia Lists > Capt. Alexander Osborns Militia List > Leut. John McWhorther, Ensign Zebulon Brevard > Majer Tempell > (Others on list are: Robt. Bravard, Hugh Parks, William Sims, Jon Huggons, > James Huggons, Andrew Linn, > Irish & Davidson Crk. Settlements: Major would have been 23 years old, and this maybe?? where he met and married Mary Kennedy. We are also finding hints that the Kennedys maybe coming out of Lunenburg/Halifax Co, areas of VA (and Cecil, MD before that). Does anyone have Temples in any of these areas? Joanne

Hi all, I noticed Chanbeth's remarks about my home page entry during your Thurs. family reunion chat. Concerning the parents of Abraham of Salem, my source came from Edition #1 of "The Rise of the Temples" by Albert R. Temple and Danny D. Smith. There was never any proof that Abraham of Salem came from the Temples of Stowe England. Being a respected genealogist I do listen to what he has to say. Danny D. Smith's article "The Provenance of Abraham" appears on page 100 of the publication. It explains why he thinks Peter and Katherine Temple may be Abraham's parents. You can view the article on L. Parker Temple Home Page at http://www.erols.com/lptemple/house/htm. Regards Ralph Temple
I'm not quite tuned in to how the chat line works so I may be writing to someone I'm already in contact with but this is in response to the question by BRicha2131 from the April AOL chat. I am also interested in Lois Darby and Peter Temple - specifically their son Thomas and his wife Sarah Wright Temple and their children. What is your connection? Thanks! Linda Wade
