Hello: We are looking into my wife's family history for information on a William Henry Teal born in Yorkshire in 1838 (no location listed). His parents are listed as John Ferguson Teal (B: 24 Nov, 1805, Yorkshire), and Ann Holt (B: est. 1798, Knaresborugh ((spelling???). We would like info on his English roots. We have some info while he lived in America. William Henry Teal, my wife's great grandfather, came to America and married a Mary E. Frost on 1 Oct, 1863 at Keosaqua, Van Buren, Iowa. Mary E. is listed as born on 27 May, 1844 in the state of Ohio. After they were married, they lived in Iowa. They had five children. Upon Mary's death, William Henry moved to Colorado and lived with his daughter Rose Evelena (Teal) Redding and her husband Charles Redding. William Henry's nickname was "The Judge" in the states. William Henry died 28 June, 1920 in Durango, Al Plata, Colorado. My wife's mother, Mary Gladys Redding, was the third of five daughters born to Rose Evelena (Teal) and her husband Charles Redding. Hope this may be helpful to your Teal Family research. Sincerely, Glenn and Miriam Gladys (Teal/Olson) Kelly Wenatchee, WA USA
