Thanks for the reply, and at one time I thought I had a connection to neighboring counties but it vanished. I'll tell ya what I got and then we can see. My wife and I are researching her families: Her Great Grandparents were, Jacob S. Teal (b ca 1881) and Edna C. Gruber (b ca 1897). The 1920 Census notes that Jacob's parents were born in NY while Edna's were born in Germany and Denmark. In the 1920 Fed Census, Jacob teal is listed (age 39), with wife Edna Teal (age 23) and with Jacob's brother George (age 26), and Children Edna (age 5) and archie (age 11). Due to the age difference between Jacob and Edna, and Archie's age, I suspect that Edna was the second wife, although she could have had Archie at age 12. Curiously, Archie is listed as being born in Canada. Later Troy City directory listings show Jacob living with Archie C./Charles A. and wife Edna C. with daughter Edna M. in a separate household. Jacob apparently died about 1929 and brother George, who was listed as a brushmaker was later listed as a manager. I wonder if Archibald Charles Teal/Charles Archibald Teal, jacobs's oldest child might have been named after an archibald teal who was a painter in troy and might have been Jacob's father? Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Rick Saunders
