I subscribed to the Teal List several days ago, but have not received any mail at all. I am searching on my Grandmothers line. Her name was Grace Jane Teal and she married Arthur Moreland Lovelace. She was from west Texas in the Lubbuck area. She was born Feb. 10, 1890 and died in July 1971. She lived in Shreveport, La. for many years until she died. I would appreciate any information. Dear List Members: It looks like the flood will miss each of you, unless there is a second wave that I don't know about, but it hit me with full force from about 70 of my lists. I am not sure if and when it will be over but I have received and deleted hundreds and hundreds of bounced messages. I have also received more than I can count requests to be subscribed and unsubscribed. I will work my way through these. I have to check each one of them to make sure it as it should be. This will take time. Thank you. As usual, you were willing to do all that was necessary to help make this list run smoothly. There has been a major problem with certain lists on Rootsweb since last Friday. I am not sure how this list is going to be effected by the crashed server at Rootsweb, you were not one directly effected. The server is up and running again and I have a favor to ask each of you. If you begin receiving a large amount of messages that have backed up in the system since last Friday. Please be understanding, USE YOUR DELETE KEY, yelling and screaming will not stop it. I am holding on for dear life. I will have messages coming to me from 171 mailing lists hitting me all at once along with bouncing messages and messages from those of you asking for help. Together we will get through this and look back on this day as the "Day of the Rootsweb Flood", and laugh. If you have asked to be unsubscribed, that request was most likely never received. Please understand that even if I unsubscribe you now, I cannot stop what you are going to receive. If the lists do not look the same, meaning the headers are gone. Teel, 20, nephew of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Teel and Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Tunnell of Grand Saline, was drowned Monday morning while fishing in Lake Dallas, near Benton. Teel, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. S. Teel of Dallas was a frequent visitor in Grand Saline and widely known here. Witnesses to the accident said that Teel got in the water to release a plug which had become hung on a snag, and that evidentally he was seized by a cramp as he disappeared under the water and never re-appeared. Funeral services were held Wednesday in Dallas with burial there. He is survived by one brother and one sister in addition to his parents. Born in Mississippi, he moved to Van Zandt county in his youth. He was a resident of Dallas for 30 years and was a member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church. Survivors are his wife; a son, Edward J. Teal of Dallas; a daughter, Miss Thelma Ruth Teal of Dallas; two brothers, Walter Teal of Grand Saline, Van Zandt County, and Jack Teal of Tulia Swisher County, and a grandson. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Hillc rest Baptist Church, 2603 Idaho, with the Rev. W. T. Furr officiating. Burial will be at Laurel Land Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be I. D. Butts, J. J. Cobb, Dick King, Carl Wilson, Milford Horton, and W. J. Howard. Deacons of the Hillcrest Baptist Church will be honorary pallbearers. Dallas Morning News unknown date.

Ellwood Brown and the Rev. Glen Stovall officiating. Masonic graveside rites were at Haven of Memories Cemetery in Canton under direction of Bartley Funeral Home of Grand Saline. Mr. Teal died at noon Friday in a Grand Saline hospital following a brief illness. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was a past Worshipful Master of the Masonic Lodge in Grand Saline. He was a member of the American Legion and was a retired employee of the Morton Salt Company where he had worked for 38 years. Mr. Teal was a veteran of World War I. He was a native of Mississippi, but had lived in Grand Saline most of his life. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ruby Teal of Grand Saline; a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Jerry Hines, Tommy Jack Hines, Ronald Mitchell, Edward J. Teal, Billy Joe Teal and Dennis Teal. Grand Saline Sun in the late 1960's or early 1970's.
