The Plummers are a Maryland Quaker family who married into the Maryland Wells family of Joseph Wells and ? Swanson (I've just drawn a blank) ... her mother was a Plummer. Some of those folks migrated via Loudoun Co VA and Orange Co NC (associated with the Sidwell family of MD, of whom one married an Abner Wells whose family migrated to Ohio and one married Benjamin Wells of early Washington Co IN. It is the latter man that we suspect may be an uncle to the other Wells family of Wayne Co IL). I can see a possibility that your line might extend from either of these families, as they seemed to both track along a similar migration route. > Now then, is it your thought that David/Ben, the son of Thomas and Lucretia Elvira Armstrong might be part of your line, or did you just bump into him, the way I did? (I actually bumped into him based on some poorly drawn ancestry charts from Posey Co, probably based on the fact that I ought to have a David (perhaps I do, because I have a few missing males). This Thomas cannot be part of my direct line, although I feel that he is very possibly part of the Richard Wells family out of KY. > Maggi >
