James Wilson (b. around 1862) and Martha (b. either 1867 or 1868), both in Ireland.  Her maiden name was Martha Anna TAYLOR. They came to Philadelphia in 1882.  Had 5 children, 4 living at the time of the 1900 census:  Sara (b. 1883), William (b. 1884)  Robert (b. 1887) and John (b. 1890). James Wilson was working as an elevator man at the time of his death on July 11, 1899 at age 37 of pulmonary tuberculosis.  He lived at 6646 Greenway Avenue, 40th Ward, Philadelphia. According to death certificate #904 for July 1899, the attending physician was B.F. Wertz, 639 Woodland Avenue,  Philadelphia, PA and the undertaker was E.H. Yerkes, then located at 7036 Woodland Avenue in Philadelphia.   He was buried in Philadelphia's Mount Moriah Cemetery on July 14, 1899. They were non-Catholic Irish. Martha Anna TAYLOR Wilson married my great-grandfather, Edgar (or Edward) Smith nine months later on March 14, 1900.  He was ten years her junior.
