Bathsheba DEAN (b. 1722, Lebanon, New London, CT.), was the daughter of Passing along info on Lemuel TAYLOR which I received in a message about Peck's. I have no additional info. Pat Peck Josiah and Mary (Bethia) (PECK) DEAN, who were both born in MA. They apparently moved to Lebanon, CT. between 1715 and the date of Bathsheba's birth in 1722. Perhaps Dean Mtn. Road and the Dean families you find on the old maps were named after her father or brothers. Unfortunately, I have no further information on them, except to say that they were probably quite religious people, as Bathsheba married into a religious family - the TAYLORS. Bathsheba married 1 Dec. 1746, Lemuel TAYLOR, in Lebanon, CT. Lemuel was born in 1725 in Falmouth, MA., but baptised 10 July 1737, in Lebanon, CT. In 1752, Lemuel TAYLOR's name appears in Congregational Church Records at Canaan, CT., where he signed the Covenant 10 July 1760. Later he moved his family to Stillwater and Half Moon, NY., where he resumed his active church membership, and spent the rest of his life. During the Revolutionary War years, his wife's name disappears from church records; presumably she died during this time. His will was probated 12 Dec. 1799 at Saratoga Springs, NY.
