He was my great grand parent, a splendid seaman plying between the South American ports, West Indies, and the Colonies ......had a three masted schooner .....He made the seas his home. My great great grandfather, like his father glorified breasting the storms of the oceans, and the prospered. Charles, living to be a very old man, and according to family tradition, died in 1815, one hundred and one years old. (born in 1714)." Here is my line. I'll start with my father: 1. John Henry Prideaux, b. in Furnas Co., NE m. Bertha Twila Threlkel from Hannibal, MO. 2. Frank Prideaux b. in Illogan, Cornwall, England m. Louise Arminda Taylor b. in Boescobel, Grant Co., WI. 3. Henry Taylor, (author of the memoirs) b. 1824 in Loudoun Co., VA & d. 1931 in KS. (age 107). He m. Arminda Eastman "a rich planter's daughter" (Kodak Eastman fame) from Canada. 4. Thomas Taylor m. Penelope Richards 5. Thomas Taylor m Sarah Musgrove. 6. Taylor, Thomas Sr. b: BET. 1728 - 1735 in Frederick Co., Maryland d: ABT. 21 JUL 1797 in Waterford, Virginia m. Caleb Pierpoint b: ABT. 1726 in Ann Arundel Co., Maryland. Her Father: Charles Pierpoint b: ABT. 1651 in Gunpowder, Anne Ann Arundell Co., Maryland & Sidney Chew b: ABT. 1692 in Ann Arundell Co., Maryland This is the Thomas who is a mystery as his father is supposedly Charles Taylor b. 1714 & d. 1815 in N Y. I have the Pierpoint and Chew family back to "ADAM & EVE"! Why am I having such a hard time placing Thomas? Is he a child of one of the famous Taylor's who did not name him? Only God knows at this point! I can trace my lines to many presidents through my grandmother Arminda Eastman who is a des.of the Root, Randolph, Marshall families and my mother, great great grand daughter of Peter Threlkeld who married Polly Carter of a Geo.Washington and Penn connection., etc. John Henry Prideaux's line is the Nuzum, Harris, Norris, Keith lines. I connect to the Lee, Smith, Ball & Davenport families, but not through the Taylor line only the wives of Taylor's. It don't make sense to me.
