    3. Hello Taylors, Still trying to find a spot for Thomas and Caleb Pierpoint Taylor. Did he have another name? No parents yet for Thomas (1728-1735) died (about July 20, 1797). Here is my link to Henry Carter and his wife Frances Penn. They had two daughters. One was Elizabeth "Betsy" Carter and she married ?? Pulliam. The other daughter was Polly Carter and she married Peter Threlkeld son of Captain Elijah Threlkeld. Peter born about 1788 in Of, King George County, Virginia and he died between 1835 - 1840 in Barren Co., Kentucky?. I have found Polly's grave in Butler County, Kentucky also Peter and Polly's son John "Jackie" Threlkel but not Peter's. Peter and Polly Threlkeld named their first born Carter Threlkeld, brother of my John "Jackie" Threlkel. They then connect back to my Taylor ancestors through Frances Penn's mother and father Joseph Penn and Mary Taylor born May 30th, 1718 daughter of John Taylor and Catherine Pendleton. All signs lead me to this Taylor line, but still no place to fit my Thomas Taylor who married Caleb Pierpoint. They do connect to Zachary Taylor and Elizabeth Lee's son Zechariah (Zachary) Taylor who married Alice Chew. Alice Chew's parents were Colonel Thomas Chew Sr. and Martha Thompson Taylor. Martha was a daughter of James Walker Taylor and Martha Thompson Taylor. My Caleb Pierpoint who married my Thomas Taylor is the daughter of Charles Pierpoint and Sidney Chew. Martha Sidney Wynne b. 1675 and William Chew Sr. born 1669 is my Caleb's grandparents. When my Thomas Taylor died about July 21, 1797 George Washington was still in office. The Carters and the Washingtons were personal friends as were the Taylors. The ancestors to these people include the surnames of Gassaway, Constable, Ayres, Smith, Coale going back to John Chew the emigrant born July 16, 1587 in Whaley Parish, Lancaster, England and died August 24, 1668 and his wife Rachel Constable. Here is the documentation on the Carter/Penn connection.
