He was born around 1845 and died in Santa Cruz County, California in 1898. He married Mary Ann Fulmer in 1871 in Dushore, PA. On the 1880 census, he lists his father as English and his mother as Scottish. Also, listed in the houeshold is Edward Haines born around 1851 in New Brunswick.
