I'm also having a very hard time trying to get info on my Vermont Taylors! Been trying for for years with no luck - haven't been able to find any birth, marriage, or death records for any of them! My gggf was James Taylor son of Francis and martha; according to his civil war papers, both parents were born in vermont and he was born in St. Albans. He eventually ended up in Mass. in the war, married in RI and died in 1884. Woulsd appreciate any info from anyone with these names in their line..........Thanks, Maryann
