I am hoping that someone can help me with my brick wall. My gg-grandfather was Nicholas Taylor born approx. 1812-1818 most likely in Tennessee. He paid taxes on land in Morgan county Indiana in 1840. I have him on Morgan county Indiana censuses for 1850 and 1860. After 1860, he disappeared! I have found no indications that he fought/died in the Civil War. He was married three times (Barbara Barnett, Catherine Preble, Malinda Steel Badgley). Known children were John R. (b. 9/22/1841), Daniel Thomas (b. 1/31/1845; my g-grandfather), Delila A. (b. 1847), Christinia (b. 1850), G.R., and Robert W. (b. 1858). Can anyone make any connections? I'm stuck! I can't find his parents, siblings or when/where he died! I'd appreciate any help!
