Paul Did I miss this conversation? Ambrose Madison married Frances Taylor d/o James II and Martha Thompson Taylor. They were the parents of James Madison our fourth president from 1809-1817 . Right? FRANCES TAYLOR (JAMES6, JAMES5, THOMAS4, THOMAS3, REV. DR. ROWLAND2, JOHN1) was born August 30, 1700 in King and Queen County, Virginia, and died November 25, 1761 in Montpeliar, Orange County, Virginia. She married AMBROSE MADISON August 24, 1721 in Rapidan, Orange County, Virginia, son of JOHN MADISON and ISABELLA TODD. Frances Taylor Madison died on Wednesday. She was buried the following Sunday in the family plot on her plantation. Children of FRANCES TAYLOR and AMBROSE MADISON are: 1.(COLONEL) JAMES MADISON, SR., b. March 27, 1723; d. February 27, 1801. 2.ELIZABETH MADISON, b. June 14, 1725. 3.FRANCES MADISON, b.
