All early Maine records would be in Massachusetts records.

The first Taylor, recorded in landing in America, is Matthew, but the records are on brother Edward, known as Edward the emigrator, in Stillwell's book Historical and Genealogical Miscellany by John Stillwell, M.D. they landed at Perth Amboy, his, Edward's cattle is registered in 1684 in the "book of Land Patents" with his cattle mark in 1684.
