JJ, All I have is the 1880 census, but I can get any state with it. I can also search out the states for them from a central index. It does take some information, such as birth date or about, etc. With common names a spouse is good and children too. But for a county I can just go there with the surname and search. You can finesse it several ways. There is no 1890c, except some for Union Vets. There are people on most of the lists who have the state or country CDs for different census records. Some have Ancestry.com, and they use that. I would ask on the VA and KY list if I were you. Carleen
