Hello list, I am looking for anyone that can provide verification via census etc. for William Taylor's first two wives. I received this information from someone on this list but have not been able to track down any information or proof of his first to marriages other than and entry in the Rockcastle County, Ky cemetery book which shows that William was married to a Martha "Patsy" Ramsey. I have no idea who their children were or where they lived etc. so if someone can provide me with any additional information on my William Taylor I would greatly appreciate it. Marriage was witnessed by: Eliza Cox and P. H. Shivel. Marriage officiated by Justice of the Peace Jno. W. Tharp. Surety for the couple provided by Elijah Cox; v. MARY A.; born 1863; died 4 Apr 1874 at Rockcastle, Kentucky; Mary died of a cold at the age of 11. vi. Reynolds and Charles W. Cox. Marriage was officiated by Magistrate James M. Chestnut. Surety provided by G.W. Taylor; vii. WILLIAM AMBROSE was born on 10 Sep 1873 at Buckeye, Rockcastle, Kentucky. He married Margaret Jane Walters , daughter of James Walters and Letisha (Lettie) Main, in Oct 1902. He died on 20 Jun 1937 at Mt. Vernon, Rockcastle Co, Kentucky, at age 63 viii. THOMAS TAYLOR; born 3 Oct 1875; married Laura Cathryn Sowder, daughter of unknown Sowder; died 5 Jul 1956 at Rockcastle, Kentucky, at age 80; buried Jul 1956 at Elmwood Cemetery, Mt. Vernon, Rockcastle, Kentucky. iv. ELIZABETH TAYLOR x. SARAH R TAYLOR b:20 Mar 1874 Rockcastle County, KY xi. LAURA J TAYLOR b:02 Oct 1878 Rockcastle County, KY DELILAH COX was born on 10 Jul 1838 at Tennessee or Virginia. She married William Taylor on 23 Apr 1862 at Rockcastle, Kentucky. She died on 7 Aug 1910 at Rockcastle, Kentucky, at age 72. She was buried in Aug 1910 at Maret Cemetery, Wildie, Rockcastle, Kentucky. Delilah listed she had 11 children with 9 living at the time of the 1900 Census.
