    1. Re: [TAYLOR] WM. TAYLOR, SR. OF LAURENS COUNTY, SC
    2. I am looking for Reuben Taylor born in SC in the Old Ninety Six District. His wife was named Mary __________ He was born in 1796. Julia Terena Taylor was my great grandmother and she lived in Pike County AR and died there. She is buried at Kirby Primitive Baptist Church cemetary. I would like to know about Reuben--could he have been in the family you are mentioning? I hope so. I would so appreciate any kind of lead. Sorry to butt in on your query but I have to take every chance I can get . Jan

    2. RON & LISA TAYLOR
    3. I DID A QUICK CHECK OF THE 1779 CENSUS AND A REUBEN TAYLOR IS LISTED BUT NOT TO A SPECIFIC TOWNSHIP AND OLD 96 COVERED PARTS OF 5 OR 6 COUNTIES. I BELIEVE I SAW HIM ON A TORY LIST IN THE LIBRARY THE OTHER DAY. I WILL LOOK NEXT TIME I GO BY THE LIBRARY. I HAVE THE TAYLORS OF LAURENS FOR THE 1790 CENSUS AND HE IS NOT FROM LAURENS. I WILL LOOK IN THE OTHER COUNTIES NEXT TIME. MY GUESS IS ABBEVILLE, SC AND HE WAS PROBABLY ENGLISH BY THE FIRST NAME. J.R.
