Hi All, I need your help to determine the parents of my g-g-g-g-grandfather, Matthew S. Taylor. Most Taylors who research this family assume that Matthew S. is the son of Capt. Henry (Eight finger) Taylor, as Capt. Henry is a Revolutionary War soldier and the most noted of this branch of Taylors. However, I am not sure. As Matthew's middle initial is S., I feel strongly that his parents are Matthew Taylor and Sarah Sample, but I do not have any proof. Both Capt. Henry and his brother Matthew had sons named Matthew. So, I am looking for any information about the family of Matthew Taylor, b. abt. 1739 in PA, and Sarah Sample, b. abt. 1755.
