Okay, I do know that my grandfathers father was from NC and his mother was from AL. I will take a closer look at William Taylor and see if any of them came to Texas. I'm researching a William Taylor born 1803 in Buncombe Co., NC. Was there a batch of Taylors in this county or just a common name? He married Eliza McKinley (date unknown) and was in Mecklenburg Co., NC in 1823 when his son, James Walker Taylor was born. In 1839 they moved to Carroll Co., GA. Kathleen A.
