    3. Hi List, This family isn,t German but did live around the German community of the Orangebourgh District of SC. By 1818 they had moved nearer to the Columbia area, St Matthews parish and Lexington county. I'll put out some census information, maybe it will help someone else. 1850 census for St Johns Berkeley Parish, SC Joseph Taylor (wife) Susannah Children: Mary dau Age 30 Lydia " 28 Frederick J son 26 Benjamin A " 20 Erin W dau 18 There is a possibility that Gabriel, Allen and Nathaniel might be from this family. 1860 census, St Johns Berkeley Gabriel Taylor Age 40 Wife. Elizabeth 36 Children: Catherine dau 19 Baxter dau 11 Eliza dau 9 Mary dau 1 Allen P Taylor age 30 Sarah A Ray wife age 39 Ann F Taylor age 35 Augustus son 13 Tetelico 11 Elizabeth dau 9 Rebecca dau 6 Peter son 4 Henry P Taylor age 23 teacher Mary Taylor age 35 Black Oak Community David son 6 N F Taylor age 22 Harriett wife 17 1880 census , same area Elizabeth Taylor age 54 Elizabeth dau 25 Gabriella dau 20 Ardella dau not listed,in a church roll she had married a PATE and left the area. 1888--Adam W Taylor bought about 1300 acres of land from a Wainwright Baylor, probably in the Black Oak Community. 1900 census Nathaniel (N F) Taylor b. 1838 Harriett wife 1845 Wylie B son 1873 Emily dau 1866 Jack son 1880 Ethel dau 1885 Some of the older children have left home by this time.
