I have been looking for messages of any Taylor from Germany! In my Wilson linage I have an Eliza/Elizabeth Wilson who married a Peter Taylor, abt 1847, who came from Germany, at least that is what the Census says! The story I have been told is that the family came to America and stayed a while then the rest of the family went back to Germany and Peter stayed here. Peter & Eliza had 4 sons that I know of: Henry b-abt 1850, Thomas b-1852, James b-1856, & Robert b-1859. This Eliza Wilson is a possible sister to my 3rd g-grandmother Ann/Anna (Wilson) Cryer. Peter & Eliza lived in Alabama in and around the Morgan, Marshall Co, areas. If you think there might be a connection, I will gladly dig further and get my books/notes out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
