Shirley; It sounds as if you and Wayne Thomas are closely connected, you have mostly the same ancestry. I din't think it was mine until you mention a David Taylor. We just recently found that Robert W Tayloris from our line and that a William Taylor son of Isaac and Isabella has descendants and that Jeb Stuart Taylor and Pat Burns are descended from our William, not from William of family of Zachary Taylor as they thought. In that line there was a David and the family name Pennington arises. So maybe you and Wayne are descended from our William after all. All of our Taylors named their children the same. This line does not. Maybe they were not close in the early days in VA. George, and Isaac are the only names they appear to share, Earl H Taylor [email protected] (909)593 2652 yahoo IM eht2060 http://www.keyway.net/~eht2060/ -----Original Message----- From: Shirley Carter [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Saturday, December 04, 2004 4:57 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [TAYLOR] George Marion TAYLOR Lonely , justthought i would say my Taylor family , so far that I have found came from VA, NC,KY, AL, TN. Starting with we thin Benjamin Taylor who was born in VA, and moved to KY. His son Samuel McDaniel Taylor was born in Indian Territory (TN) and his son Zebedee Taylor was born in KY. and his son my great grandfather David Marion Taylor was born in Franklin CO., TN. he moved to Stone CO., MO where my grandfather James William Taylor was born , and my father Omer Wilson Taylor was born in Poke CO., MO. I have quite a bit of information on my Taylor's if any of these names sound familar , I know my great, great grandfather had a brother named Isacc Taylor also pretty sure there was a George in there also but it would be George Washington most likely. You can email me at [email protected] Thank You Shirley lolene wrote: > I am looking for the parents of G M Taylor born in Shelby County TN in 1834. He married Margaret Price in McLennan County TX in 1868. There is a family who seems to be this Taylor family in the 1880 Hamilton County TX census p 369b, but they are listed as Taler. All others in the census have the more common spelling. GM, or the person who gave the info, says his parents were both born in Vermont. He died in Parker County in 1911, and is buried in Central Cemetery. Those are facts. > > I have been told his father was Isaac or Edmund Taylor, but I have no backup to this. Anyone on the list who can help? His mother's maiden name may have been Crowder. I'd even like to have a different census on this family to see where the parents are listed as being born - VT or is it VA? > > Thanks for any help. > Lolene > > ==== TAYLOR Mailing List ==== > Be specific in your Subject line.
