    3. I solicit and welcome your interpretation of the following information found by my resourceful cousin at the North Scituate Library in RI: History of Trimtown , Part of Scituate, RI "Trimtown was settled in 1706 on a land grant of 75 acres laid out to to Thomas Fenner, March 5 in the right of Joan (John) Taylor formerly of Providence. This is some evidence that the cabin by the spring on the eastern slope of the hill in what is now known as the Taylor lots was the oldest white man's home on the hill. It may have been built in 1694 when the land west of the seven mile line was thrown open for settlement and surveyed into grants of 150 acres each. The second John Taylor was born in that year, so the John that sold the land in 1706 must have been the first John whose wife was Elizabeth." I am a Taylor descendant. In reading the above paragraph, I am confused . . . Who owned the property first - Fenner or Taylor? Did Fenner or Taylor own the land in 1694? In 1706, did Taylor buy or sell the property? Is John Taylor who married Elizabeth the father of the "second John Taylor" or is he just the elder of two John Taylors? Thank you for thinking about this one. Kim
