Is anyone researching this Thomas Taylor? He was born 10-06-1824 in Lexington Co., SC and moved to Alabama. He married, first, Eugenia A. Cain (1830-1864) and, I believe he had these four children: Laura Susan Taylor, Josephine M. Taylor, Hiram Columbus Taylor, and Thomas Walker Taylor (b. 1856). After Eugenia died in 1864, he married Annetta J. White (1842 - 1902) and had, I believe, these 6 children: Samuel, Martin John, Carrie Eugenia, Travis T., Laura, and Bolden. I am trying to determine who Thomas Taylor's parents were. Does anyone have his death certificate? If so, does it contain the names of a parent? I believe his father to either be Martin Taylor or Henry Taylor, both of whom were born in South Carolina and both of whom resided in Baldwin County, Alabama. Does anyone have his Civil War record or pension application? He enlisted in 1864 at Camp Watts, Alabama in the Home Guards and continued Service until the close of the War in 1865. Kathryn Griffin
