Debby; My Taylors Isaac and Isabella Wilson came to Orange/Augusta/Rockbridge co. VA abt 1737. The family went south thru Montgomery Co. NC, TN, AL, MS, TX, CA. Some went west to KY, AR, OK to CA. There was a Wesley in every family group, mostly as a middle name. Names were Isaac, George, William, Thomas, James, Joseph, James, Albert, Andrew, girls were Isabella, Lettice and Elizabeth. There were many Taylors in VA, NC, TN, AL at that time. I feel many were related but we have found no connection to most of them. My gr grandfather's brother was James Buchanon Taylor, I have wondered where the Buchanon came from. My Taylors who served in VA Militia served with leader named Buchanon, and Milton is common and I don't know where that comes from either.
