Hi, I am looking for a Taylor family that lived in Mason City, Cerro Gordo County, IA in 1880. All I know about them is that Mr.Taylor was a merchant in Mason City, and was born in either NY or MN. My great-grandparents Melroy Albert Fuller and Elizabeth Jane Taylor were visiting one of Elizabeth's brothers there in late 1879 - early 1880 with their 3 daughters when a blizzard stranded them. My grandfather Fredrick Forrest Fuller was born in Mason City in Feb. 1880 while his father Melroy was still out with the other men digging out the streets, sidewalks, and railroad tracks. I would like to find out which of Elizabeth Jane Taylor's brothers they were visiting. The parents of Elizabeth and her brother were John W. Gibson Taylor (b. 1829 in Nottinghamshire, England) and Mary Lake (b. in Wales about 1831). Have a good day, Merrie
