This made me laugh! I am 58 years old and my Great Grandfather Walter O. Taylor was at the Battle of The Little Big Horn and survived. When I tell someone that, they think I have lost a generation or two. His son was Walter E. Taylor and his grandson was Walter O. Taylor (my dad). When you come from large families and you are the son of an older man who was also the son of an older man, it takes less generations to get beck as far as people might think. Betty and Don, My grandfather - not great-grandfather - was in the civil war (not my Tayor ancestor, but another). I'm 56. When I tell people that it was my grandfather, they always question me. But my grandfather was *reported to be* in his late 70's, early 80's when three of his children were born. Then my father was nearly 40 when I was born.
