Hello, I am new to the list. I am looking for the line of William Taylor, b. 1819 in Ga. He moved to Montgomery, Ala. He died in La. between 1860 and 1870. He was married to Rebecca Collins, born in either North or South Carolina abt. 1814. Their children were as follows; William, Marge, John, Elizabeth, Rachel, Melissa, Elias, and James. These names vary slightly in the census records. I suspect sometimes they used their middle names interchangeably with their first names. Thanks for any help you can give. Jane

They had two children: Mattie Lula Simmons (b) Feb. 25,1864 Taylor County, Georgia (d) June 18, 1950 Crawford County, Georgia Mattie married Thomas Newton Kirksey and Lonnie Causby. John Asa Simmons (b) 1875 Taylor County, Georgia (d) Dec. 4, 1951 Crawford County, Georgia. Asa married a Bohler and Sophronia Jane Bloodworth.
