    3. About myths ! My George Washington Taylor (yet another one) was supposed to have left home to return an axe and never came home again, forever. I think I have found him married again in Miss. Ah, myths and the folks that take the myths to heart. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, February 11, 2005 3:48 PM Subject: Re: [TAYLOR] JOHN M & MARY TAYLOR - 1810-1853 - MD > Ginger, > Other than Baltimore, no I do not know where they might have been in MD. > > This is my husband's line but I do the research. 3. The people who circulated that myth may really not have known what happened to old George. I have a couple of Georges (not Taylors, another line), and not in my direct line, who flew the coop and married again without the benefit of divorce. Nobody knew what happened to these scoundrels at the time. We found out about them much later when some of their descendants contacted us, and they didn't know the whole story either. No wonder myths get started.
