Gareth North Yorkshire http://history.staveley.org.uk -----Original Message----- From: Doris Augur [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: 08 February 2005 21:05 To: [email protected] Subject: [TAYLOR] Taylor Relatives I'm looking for information on Samuel Taylor born November 1844 in England. He married Lillia M. or Lillian M. She was born March 1856. Samuel appears in the 1900 US Census in New Haven, Connecticut. The census states they both became citizens in 1888. Both of his parents were born in England. They were married 25 years in the 1900 census. Samuel and Lillia both lived in New Haven, CT in the 1900 census. She is listed as having 7children 4 of which are living. They only had two children living with them William Robert and Walter. My husband feels that one of the children may be named Nell, as he remembers going with William R to visit Aunt Nell in New London, Connecticut. William R was born January 29, 1889. William R had two children with his first wife Ida May Porter (born 1893 in West Haven, CT and died 1935). The two children were Alice May (born 12/4/1912 and died January 16, 1940) and Ruth. He was married a second time to Elizabeth Eagan. They had two daughters, Joan and Carol. Alice married Clifford Edward Augur, Sr. and had one child Clifford E. Augur, Jr. (my husband). Ruth married Lesley Cowley and had four daughters. Would anyone have any more information on this family. Either there English roots, or the missing children of Samuel. I'd also like any information on Ruth's children, grandchildren, Etc. I have all the info on Alice's children. As this is my husband's mother.
