    1. [TAYLOR] Multiple land parcel plats from 1801 to 1851 for Screven Co., GA. Taylors.
    2. Dale E. Reddick
    3. Hi Folks, As a followup to my earlier message, there are plats of Screven County Taylors from 1801 to 1851 for individuals named Benjamin, Cornelius, Edmund, John, Rachel, Sarah, and William Taylor. Some of plats for John and William are likely for two generations of individuals. Two of my immediate ancestors are likely to be represented by some of these land acquisitions described via these plats (gg-grandfather John L. Taylor and ggg-grandfather William Taylor). There are four separate plats for Benjamin Taylor (if only a single individual). In an 1803 plat it can be seen that Benjamin's new land acquisition is bordered by the land of James Taylor. In an 1811 plat Edmund Taylor's new land parcel is bordered by William Taylor. William Taylor has two plats from 1804 and 1806 (if the same individual). Then there's an 1845 plat for a William Taylor. There are three plats for individuals named John Taylor. One is from 1828 while the other two are from 1850 and 1851. An 1804 plat for 1000 acres was prepared for Cornelius Taylor. The 1804 plat of 1000 acres for Rachel Taylor shows her lands being bordered by Sarah Taylor and Cornelius Taylor. Another 1804 plat of 1000 acres was prepared for Sarah Taylor, with her land being bordered by the lands of Rachel Taylor and Cornelius Taylor. Perhaps these were a father and his two daughters or else three siblings. I do not immediately recognize them as being part of my Taylor lineage in Screven County. The contents relating to Confederate Pension Applications are too numerous and diverse for me to summarize. Dale ________________________________ Dale E. 1. [TAYLOR] Cornelius Taylor- Re: Multiple land parcel plats from 1801 to 1851 for Screven Co., GA. Taylors.
    2. Edgar Taylor
    3. Dale - Thanks again for his message. I noted that one of those you list is Cornelius Taylor. Though this is not "my" Cornelius, I am always look for this name, as I have "collected" info on the name for some time. My interest is to trace back to whom his parents might have been to see if there is any connection "way back". If any one has a Cornelius Taylor in their families I would be interested to learn.
