    3. Hey Ed, Here's another one. The initial result of this search produces 517 hits. However, the whole set of results are broken down into 25 different categories. If you click on each separate category then you'll see an expanded list of search hits for just that category. Some of these results have downloadable GEDCOM files associated with them. I checked that out with the siblings of my grandparents and I downloaded two small files that were actually correct for what little that they included. Of course, some of the other files had names, places, and dates that were familiar to me - but the names were misspelled. This is just another approach to finding someone else's search results. I'm not sure quite how useful it is. Oh, you can simply replace the surname (within the URL) with another one and you'll get a wholly different search on the new surname. 3. Thanks Dale - Sorry to say, I am always suspicious of what I have found on Family Search having checked for my families and found the info to be much in error. Years ago I gave my cousin the data I had on our families. But when I looked up the info I found whoever had entered the info had really "botched" it. I am told, "course there are errors but it gives you "clues" ". So just be cautious of the info and check it against other sources where one can. I am sure this message will start all kinds of discussions, but I have had several bad experiences- which I will not go into- with such transcription of data. But again thanks for taking time to send the messages. Cheers! Ed T of PGH ----------------- On Nov 5, 2006, at 2:56 PM, Dale E. Reddick wrote: > Hey Ed, > > Here's another one.
