    1. [TAYLOR] Obituary for David Alan Taylor
    2. Arizona Daily Star Tucson, AZ September 3, 2006 David Alan Taylor an Arizonan since age two, passed away suddenly from pneumonia in Tucson, August 29, 2006 at the age of 55. Dave specialized in making the dreams of others come true. He was a custom contractor with an artist's eye, and he possessed phenomenal skills at shaping materials. Wood, metal, stone, tile, cement, or dry wall, Dave was a master of them all. He was an expert electrician, plumber, mason, and carpenter. The homes he built or remodeled are eloquent testimonials to the love and attention to detail he poured into all of his projects. People loved Dave. He was perhaps the most non-judgmental human most of us will ever encounter. Within moments, people instinctively knew they had met a man of unflinching integrity. Furthermore, everyone felt that their relationship with Dave was unique. Dave always had the knack of knowing the perfect gift, little or large, that made life brighter for the recipient. His generosity with his resources, his talents, and his time were simply remarkable. He was one of the few people to walk our world who inspired no animosity in anyone. His love for all things wild defined his personality. The serenity he felt after a day in the mountains was almost tangible. Dave leaves behind untold friends and is survived by a family that is very proud of his words and his deeds. Foremost in his heart were his daughter, Sherry Taylor; his son, Shad Taylor (deceased); his mother, Joyce Taylor; his father, Hank Taylor (deceased); his sister, Nadyne (Jack) Huber and his brothers, Chuck (Heidi) Taylor, Rick (Lynne) Taylor and Mark (Alice) Taylor, as well as their children and their children's children. A tribute to Dave Taylor will be held at the pond on his property in Whitetail Canyon in the Chiricahua Mountains at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 22.
