I have membership in New England Historic and Genealogical Society and can do lookuos of their online databases. Is ther anything in particular you are looking for? My Taylors were from Sciuate, R.I. and my Whittakers were from Scituate, Mass. The Whittaker line dead ends with a John b. 1810 England or Scituate? and the Taylor line dead ends with a John b. abt. 1675, married at Milton, Mass, and settled at Scituate (Providence) Rhode Island. 3. Yes, the line of Robert who was born at Kent, England and first appeared at Scituate, (Plymouth), Mass and settled at Newport, R.I. They were Quakers, most of the records of this line come from the Friends Records of Little Compton, R.I. Probably the reason he left Mass. was his religion. Quakers were persecuted in Mass. and welcomed in R.I.
