    3. Hi Earlene, Per RootsWeb policy I cannot mention the pricing of DNA testing. However, you can go to the following URL to see how to join Taylor Family Genes DNA Project. Join the Taylor Surname Project http://www.familytreedna.com/surname_join.asp?code=Q83848&special=true I would strongly urge your brother or cousin to start with at least a 25 marker Y-STR test. The minimal 12 marker level of testing is becoming less useful as more individuals are being tested. This has actually become a bit troublesome with Taylors (and other surnames) who have R1b haplotype results (a very, very common set of markers - lots of false positive results can arrive with this set of haplotypes if tested at only the 12 marker level). If possible, test at the 37 or even the 67 marker level. The larger number of markers tested, the better the likely result of not arriving at a false positive 'match'. I'll send you a pricing index separate from the list.
