Hello Sonya (I'm guessing that is you since you didn't sign your name :) My first suggestion would be to have put what I just added in the subject line, rather than "Hi." A lot of people only open messages based on the subject lines and in your case, I thought someone had sent a personal mail to the list. I was wrong, of course, but you want your message to attract as many as possible to your query, so whenever you make genealogical queries, be sure and give the most information you can. I'm sorry I cannot help you in locating your George Washington Taylor, but there might be others on here who can. Another hint - and you may already have done this - I was always told to start with known information - your parents, then your grandparents, your great-grandparents and so on. In other words, work backward from now. If you have access to census records, start with 1930 (the latest available to us) and work back. Your G.W. Taylor would have been 35 in that census, old enough to be head of household. Marilyn list admin ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sonja M.
