Though I do not have the answer to your query, I did have Smith ancestors who came over from Nottingham England, in the early 1800's to Fredericksburg, Va. Would you by any chance be researching any of the Smith's ? Hi, Leta, No, sorry. Smith is my married name, and my husband was adopted. How successful have you been in your research? The Central Rappahannock Regional Library, which serves Fredericksburg and surrounding counties, has an exceptional collection of Virginiana, and wonderfully helpful research librarians. If you have not explored their resources, you might give them a try. http://www.librarypoint.org/ . Also, Historic Fredericksburg Foundation at http://www.hffi.org/ might be helpful. Good luck! faith Leta Sheaffer <leta.sheaffer@verizon.net> wrote: Though I do not have the answer to your query, I did have Smith ancestors who came over from Nottingham England, in the early 1800's to Fredericksburg, Va.
