Hello, After working on my Taylor family for a long time here is a few bits of information that might help someone to connect. In a land deal around the Four Holes Swamp and the St Matthews Parish, John Taylor, mentions two sons James R. and Joseph> I've followed John and Joseph On the census and a tax list in 1818, then the 1810, 1820 and 1830 census. Next Joseph and Susannah Taylor was in Berkeley County< SC census with five children. In Feb 1852 both Joseph and Susannah died. This family of Taylors lived in the Orangeburg District for fifty-sixty years before moving to Berkeley County. At the time they were living in the Orangeburg District they knew th e Baylors, Williams, Metts and Clarks.I'm looking for any connection where they might have come out of NC and VA or where they might have come from Europe to Charleston, SC.
