    3. Faith, Thank you for your reply. I have been researching my Smith line for about fifteen years. Most successful to have connected and proven all of my finds thus far. I even made a living connection in Surry, England, they came over to visit and brought lots of information along. My line began in Nottingham, with my gg-grandfather being born there. He sailed to America in 1844, was an architect in St. Louis, Mo., until his sudden death in 1873. The ancestors in Fredericksburg, Virginia have pretty much been researched by my fifth cousin in Surry. I will send him the sites you suggest. The Smith's that came over and making their home in Fredericksburg, had come over about twenty years prior to my branch.
