    3. Dear Dale, I just had my dna tested by family Tree. I received a printout of my Y-dna with 49 matches. However, to my surprise there is not one Taylor listed on the sheet out of 49 12-marker matches. Where do I go from here? Richard Taylor -----Original Message----- From: taylor-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:taylor-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Dale E. Hi Folks, I'm the co-administrator for the Taylor Family Genes DNA Surname Project hosted by Family Tree DNA. Today, FTDNA has initiated a lower-cost enrollment offer for those who have already been tested by another DNA testing firm. This is a below-cost, limited-time offer good through March 31, 2007. I've examined the offer, and the prices are quite nicely low. Those of you who have already tested with FTDNA need not do anything. This is an offer being made available only to those who have tested with other DNA testing companies. What does this mean? It means you can join with our 137 members (Taylors and close kin of Taylors) and directly compare your results with those measured by FTDNA for our Taylor Family Gene project. There's a LAB CONVERSION FORM which needs to be filled out and returned to FTDNA. As can be seen from the form, payment is required to be provided along with the form. This form can be found by going to this provided URL: http://www.familytreedna.com/pdf/PROMO_GAP.pdf I hope that some of you Taylors who have tested with other companies will now take up this generous offer that's being made by FTDNA. Doing so will allow more of you to be directly compared against other Taylors who have already participated in the Taylor Family Genes project. We have already established the existence of several genetically related lineages of Taylors from among the participants of Taylor Family Genes. I would like to see us expand the membership of the lines already established and also increase the total number of lineages known to us. Having more Taylors participate with us would increase our knowledge base for Taylor genetics. Sincerely, Dale E.
