Hi Folks, This morning the Taylor Family Genes project started out with just seven groupings of genetically related Taylors. I've been spending some time this afternoon looking at individual participants' results and comparing them against the rest of the participants in the Taylor Family Genes project. As a result of these comparisons, then at present we are up to ELEVEN groupings. Another group has had its membership expanded. Momentarily, I thought that even another genetic grouping had been found (four men matched perfectly at 12 markers). However, all projected members of this potential grouping had tested with at least 25 markers (two at 25; one at 37; & another at 67). Their matches simply fell apart beyond the 12 marker level. Given that last result (for the projected group), then some of the new groups that were created today may yet fall apart and be removed. Oh, we have a total of 115 individuals who have results reported to us. 31 of those individuals fit into the eleven groups that I've created. You can see the results at: http://www.familytreedna.com/public/taylorfamilygenes/index.aspx?fixed_columns=on Dale E. Reddick
Hi Folks, Another update. We're now up to -TWELVE- groupings of genetically related Taylors. And I've expanded Taylor Group 01 by one new member. That's in addition to one or two other groups that have been expanded by newly matching members. Oh, of the twelve groups - FIVE have members named Charles Taylor. Further, two groups have members named Earl, two with members named Richard, and yet another two with members named Thomas. I hope to not become too awfully confused by these developments...
