    3. Hi, I'm still seeking Taylors from VA, NC and SC to compare DNA with. I am a R1b with the Y-DNA and a W mtDNA. I have 44 certified markers. My Taylors have been in SC since the 1790 census in the Old Orangeburg District, SC and there is some indication that a John Taylor was in Balden County, NC before that. Any information is appreciated. Thanks, Murray Taylor

    3. Murray; My Taylors; Isaac Taylor & Isabella Wilson are from No Ireland to Orange/Augusta/Botetourt/Rockbridge co. VA in 1737. They migrated thru NC, TN, AL, MS, TX, to CA. There are still some left behind everywhere. Two of them became Govs of TN, Rob and Alf Taylor. Cecil Taylor publishes a newsletter from Charlotte Court House, VA. I have taken two Taylor DNA Tests and so far have found just one cousin, and he is distant. We both thought we were related to line of Pres Zachary Taylor but DNA says no. Isaac and Isabella had five sons, I have descendants of Isaac Jr, Andrew, and one from George. I have nothing on sons John and William.
