Hi everyone I am trying to sort out the family of my GG Grandfather John Edward Taylor. He was born at Kissing Point near Parramatta around 1833. His death registration gives his fathers name as Thomas Taylor whose occupation was Carpenter. Mothers name not listed. Does anyone on the list have any Taylor's from around the Parramatta area of NSW during the 1820's/30's'40's? Fingers Crossed! Karen
Mike (& others): The Cicero Taylor of Ashe County is Cicero C. Taylor, born June 5, 1861. He was the grandson of William & Susan Taylor Fletcher Taylor. Cicero C. Taylor did not name any of his children Cicero. His offspring wound up in Virginia, Kentucky and Ohio. I have not found any other offspring of William & Susan with the name Cicero, so assume this Cicero Wilson to be of another line. Cicero C. & Alzina Lewis Taylor are my great grandparents. Hi, It's been a while, so I thought I would re-state my search. I am looking for other descendants of John W. Gibson Taylor, born about 1829 in Carolgate, East Retford, Nottinghamshire, England to George Taylor and Mary Ann Small. After being disinherited by his father for 'marrying beneath his station', John W. G. Taylor immigrated to New York in 1857 with son Jack; wife Mary Ann, daughter Elizabeth Jane, and an infant daughter followed in 1858. John and son Jack both served in the Union Army during the US Civil War, for which John W. G. Taylor was given a land bounty in Spring Valley, MN area. He farmed there for the rest of his life. Jack Taylor studied law and became a lawyer in New York. Jack Taylor once considered going to England to try to get his rightful inheritence, but eventually decided it had been too long. John and Mary Taylor had approximately 14 children, most of whom survived to adulthood, including my great-grandmother Elizabeth Jane Taylor. She married Melroy Albert Fuller around 1871 in Spring Valley, MN. I would really like to find other descendants of John W. Gibson Taylor, as well as descedants of his siblings who lived in Carolgate. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Have a great day, Merrie (Fuller) Sodder

Hello Everyone, I am looking for any help on my Taylor family line would welcome anything anyone is willing to share. Bradley is listed in White County, Illinois where Ephraim Taylor and wife Ebbie died. Here is the info: 1850 Census for Carmi District, White County, Illinois, page 366A: Bradly, Taylor, age 21, Laborer, born Pennsylvania (gg-grandfather) Julia D Smith (gg-grandmother)(?), age 23, born Pennsylvania Susan Smith, age 10, born Pennsylvania (must be a relative of Julia's I think sister) There is also another Taylor listed on the same page but living in a different household. In fact I looked through the whole census for White County for 1850 and found several entries for a single Taylor child living with various families. Their parents must have passed away and the children were sent to relatives, friends, and boarding places. I've seen this several times in my research. The other Taylor listed on the same page as Bradley is Sarah J. Taylor, (have no idea who Sarah is age 14 and born in Illinois. Barbara eor@saber.net
