    3. Hey Earl, Four separate Taylors received news of the results of their 67 marker upgrades. None of them matched each other. Two of them matched one other Taylor, each. Neither you or Jeb had any new match from what I discussed yesterday. You and Jeb still form the only members of your group (that I am aware of). Is the Joe Taylor you mention the fellow who hasn't returned his sampling kit to FTDNA? A kit was mailed to a Joe Taylor on August 10, 2006. However, FTDNA hasn't received it back from him. He's the only Joe Taylor I see amongst the members of the project. Dale ________________________________ Earl Taylor wrote: > Dale; Hello again. 3. Dale; Do all the Taylor DNA Tests share information? Is it possible to have cousins in each test and not know the results? Or join one and not be told of matches in other tests? Can a male Taylor descendant not direct descent thru males be able to take the Taylor test? I know, anyone can take the test but does it compute wit people one or more generations. 3. Hi John, After I saw Earl's response to Murray's original message, I responded to Murray off-list. I've asked him to provide me with his results. That way I can go into the administrative page of the Taylor DNA project (Taylor Family Genes at FTDNA) and see if Murray matches with anyone. Hopefully, either by that manner or by having Murray upload his results to Ysearch.org we'll learn of some matches to his results. I'm curious about his results since my Taylors bordered on South Carolina - in Burke and Screven Counties of Georgia. These two counties lie immediately across the Savannah River from South Carolina. The Taylors in my ancestry were there at least soon after the Revolutionary War. ---------- Also, earlier today I was notified by FTDNA that new results were made known for -FOUR- different Taylors. All of those new results were for the -three- upgrade panels covering markers 37 through 67. Unfortunately, nothing -really- new was learned. Two of the individuals maintained their single matches with other Taylors. In both instances (I believe) their Genetic Distance values of 2 at 37 markers increased to a GD of 3 at 67 markers. The other two individuals have no matches amongst the Taylors. We have results for 107 Taylors within the Taylor Family Genes project. There are nine other, additional individuals for whom we are awaiting results. Further, there are the several Taylor DNA testing projects at Relative Genetics. We've cross-checked -some- of the results from those projects against the results from Taylor Family Genes and actually found some matches. As a result, we have six groupings of genetically related Taylors. However, of the 107 sets of testing results that we have - only 19 of our participants fit into those six groups. The six groups vary in numbers of members from two to five. Progress is slow, but it is there... Dale E. There are still some left behind everywhere. Two of them became Govs of TN, Rob and Alf Taylor. Cecil Taylor publishes a newsletter from Charlotte Court House, VA. I have taken two Taylor DNA Tests and so far have found just one cousin, and he is distant. We both thought we were related to line of Pres Zachary Taylor but DNA says no. 3. I have a woman named Sarah or Mary Taylor, who married Levi Mlls in Madison, Jefferson county, Indiana, in 1841. They have 4 children born there: Melissa Ann, Mary Elizabeth, John Robert, and George William Mills. Then they move to Carroll county Kentucky (where Levi was born) and have 1 or 2 daughters: Sarah Margaret and/or Susan Jane. But Sarh/Mary Taylor Mills dies there. Levi goes to Boonville, Cooper county, Missouri and remarries to Ellen Pogue or Payne. His daughter Melissa Ann Mills is my 2nd great grandmother. But I do not know the parents of Sarah/Mary Taylor, or anything else about her. I don't know if she was from Indiana, or maybe Carroll county KY and that's why she died there. The history on the Mills family is fairly complete, so I'm fairly sure about thier marriage in 1841, Jefferson county, Indiana. Does she sound familiar to anyone? Thanks, Jeanne
