Boy your up early, Margaret, my time was still 2:55 AM,it seems as Margaret, Elizabeth, James,Robert, surnames as Taylor, James, Bradford, Tidwell, Sullivan as Smith and Jones was names used continuely in most families, I'll just have to see all the Townships and Dist. of GA. & NC., I did find Robert E. Taylor and a sister in 1920, Opal Taylor and found Snow Taylor only one age 18 married a Kincaid in 1910, Cora married a Luttrell, all this from Maury Co.     2. Shirley, You mentioned the boundaries of the counties, and the states too, moving. You may already know about it, but last summer, we found a wonderful small geneology library in Ashville, NC (Buncomb Co.) that has a map indicating the changes in boundaries. A lady in the library in Jonesborough, Tn, next to Johnson City, Tn told us about it. Both libraries are really neat. W. B. Jones

    3. Does anyone have information on Martha Taylor m. Hez W. Fairchild. Martha was born June 4, 1855 and died August 10th 1929 in Harper, Gillespie Co, TX. Her father was Presley Taylor born in TN and her mother was ? York born in TN. I think Presley Taylor moved to Texas from Illinois. Seems there was a Fairchild/McDonald/Taylor migration from Illinois to Texas around 1850 or so? I'm also looking for a specific date that the Taylors arrived in Texas.
