Sarah, I went ahead and looked in Texas, and they were not there, so maybe they were still in MS. Carleen
HI My great great grandmother was Nancy Reid Taylor who married John Tate in Virginia - they moved to Hardeman Co., TN where most of their children were born. They came in 1850 to Van Zandt Co., TX were both died. I believe that Reid is a surname. Is there anyone with Reid in their background during this time period. Bill Dr. B. G. Still looking for information on my GG Grandmother Mary Ann Taylor who married Seth G. Allen and lived in Delhi Township, Hamilton County, Ohio. Last record I have of her is 1845 when my G Grandfather James Taylor Allen was born. I think she died in childbirth or soon after. Taylors in Delphi Township at that time were Robert b c 1773, who came to Delphi from Penn., William B. who may be Roberts son b. 1797, Robert L. who died in 1865 married to Melinda Northcraft and children John, Mary Emaline, children James b. 1830, Masten L. and Agnes. Samuel who married Elizabeth Hubbard Oct 27 1825. Those are what I know of the Taylors in Delphi Township at the time of my GG Grandmothers death. One other note William B. married Anna Harrison daughter of William Henry Harrison our ninth President. Appreciate any help. Jack in Sunny New Mexico

Carleen, Thank you for all the work you are doing with the look-ups for everyone! It is my understanding that they went from MS to OK.....but I have no time frame. Then they were back and forth between OK and TX. James Turner Taylor died in TX as did his son Lovie Lee. I just can't find what, where and when for "Hugh" or whoever he was...... You are a jewel......thanks again! The reason I mentioned my Sidwell that my Taylor married is, the name Hugh. We never know where a name actually comes from. There was a Hugh Sidwell, from England. He died in testate, never going back to England. He was at Boonesborough with Daniel Boone and John Taylor, I think his name was. So, seeing the name Taylor and Sidwell, together...I wonder if there was a reason, or if this was where the Taylors and the Sidwells began? My great grandfather Jesse Taylor married Ellen Sidwell as his first wife in the late 1800s. My grandfather Samuel would later marry a Smith.
