Up until about 6 months ago I did not know the maiden name of my 2nd g-grandmother, I knew her husband was William Conn b- in Scotland and they were married in St Andrews NB. My Dad told me his grandmother, Martha was born a Cloukie/Klucky/Cloucky, but in searching for info I found her name was Conn. Where the Klucky )or what ever) came from was a mystery. After finding Martha's mother was Margaret I wondered fi posssible her name was this name that I can't spell, but in the last year I find Margaret's death record gives her maiden name TAYLOR. another mystery. Both Margaret and William Connn died in Boston, after leaving NB. Married c 1830. Does anyone know anyone by name of Klouckie/Klucky/Cloucky???? I understand there are families in Main by that name, but I can't find them. HELP! Margaret Heinek
Family lore. There were 11 TAYLOR brothers who came to America from ? Ireland in the early-mid 1700. My PHILIP TAYLOR of Bucks County, PA was one of them. Maybe this is who there are so many Taylors today! Has anyone else heard a similar story in their family? I've questions my 86 year old Mother about this and she swears it's true. She heard it from her mother who was a Taylor from Loudoun Co. VA. Jennifer Brammer Curtis Searching for Brammer, Marion, Noble, Stratton, Taylor, and Thrasher and related families.

I am trying to locate a Taylor family in PA. However, with the changing of the borders of states in that area, I believe that at one time part of WVA was part of PA. (I think that the borders consolidated just after the Rev. War, but I am not sure.) Anyway, do you have more information on the Daniel Taylors about whom you queried? Our patriarch, at this time, is Elias Taylor born about 1795 and I think that William was a brother. For many people Eli is a shortened name of Elias but then, again, some just use Eli in the census. If you have more about him, please help in my search.
