Hi! I'm looking for Addison Taylor b.1806 Clark Co. KY, married Lucy Holloway, moved to IL - need his parents, siblings Children: Tilford B. Taylor b.February 07, 1834 Thomas Taylor b.1833 Lucinda Taylor b. 1831 Lucy Jane Taylor b. October 04, 1836 I only know one brother: Wesley Taylor married to Sarah Holloway - also moved to IL

O.K.... I've been reading everyone's posts very patiently and have yet to see a Taylor I recognize so thought I'd throw my information out! My brick wall is with my gggrandfather, George Washington Taylor. I have a birth year of 1837 in TN. He was married to Elizabeth Bowlin, b 1839. My greatgrandfather was William Washington Taylor b 11-26-1867 (also in TN?) his wife was Georgia Ann Bell b 5-26-1873. They both died in Perry County Arkansas, where my dad Clarence William Taylor (C.W.) was born in 1934. His parents were Opal Henry Taylor and Lucy Elizabeth Stone. Anyone know any of these people? I don't have a lot of information on my gggrandfather, Jesse. All I know is that he was born in NC, in 1803-4. My great uncle told me that he was married to Catherine (?). He died in 1873, according to my grandmother. My ggrandfather, Thomas was born in Perryville, TN, 13 Jan 1845. He died, in Oklahoma, 11 Mar 1917. Is this the same family you are researching? I think that is highly likely because so many did drop their prefixes. I know that my O' Bannons did. The "O" simply means "the son of" or "the clan of". (M) ABT 1828 Arkansas (D) 1866 & 1890 Arkansas I have a James Thompson Taylor, b. 30 March 1812 in Warren Co., Kentucky. He was the only son of John Taylor and Rebecca THOMPSON who married 4 January 1811 in Warren Co, KY. James Thompson Taylor married Rhoda Emmaline HARDIN 31 December 1840 in Tuscaloosa Co., Alabama. His name was THOMAS JEFFERSON TAYLOR, SR. He was born in 1832 in STEWART COUNTY, TN and if I am not mistaken that was Cherokee and Choctaw country before the whites settled it. My grandfather had dark hair and my aunt, (my mom's sister) has brown hair and brown eyes. She is completely different in looks than my mom. My mom was a green-eyed blonde as a child ( this being her Irish/Scotish/Scandinavian blood). All my kids were born with the blue eyes and either blonde or very light brown hair.
