    3. In Genealogy we must never assume and must always prove what we have and document thoroughly. Until it is proven, it remains a "possible", and most of us have several of those as we continue to search for the proof. > [Original Message] > From: <Ivalonf@aol.com> > To: <TAYLOR-L@rootsweb.com> > Date: 4/3/02 4:31:46 PM > Subject: Re: [TAYLOR] RE: Taylor in Maury Co. 3. Dear All I need your help on a real puzzle. I unsubscribed Scott Wright several days ago. ( sat march 30) He had apparently left his filter on to foward his incoming messages back to the Taylor list. So now the unsubscribe message to him also keeps coming back to the request list ( which is the confirmation of my delete ). The problem is that it also attaches to one of the messages that was sent out. prior to my deletetion ( last sat). So that poor poster also gets unsubscribed as well. How do we break this vicious loop? Thanks so much John A Hansen -----Original Message----- From: TAYLOR-L-request@rootsweb.com [mailto:TAYLOR-L-request@rootsweb.com] Sent: Thursday, April 04, 2002 8:49 AM To: usascottwright@yahoo.com Subject: Re: unsubscribe 32752 WBillJ@aol.com WBillJ@aol.com You have been removed from the list. 2. Karlee, I checked all of Wayne Co., all of KY, and all of NC. There was one Bret Taylor, he lived in NY, ( yes, I checked the National index too). I think he was born AFTER 1880, or they have him under a middle name or something. Your best bet is the 1900 census, and I would use a soundex census for that first. I will try to get a friend of mine to see if she can find them. She has been ill and I have not seen her on the lists, so it may take time. She has Ancestery. com census or something, or did have. 3. No I don't have anything on him/them except some notes I took from a book on Brazos Co Tx. Did I send them to you already? I am trying to tie my William C Taylor to the son of Jesse Taylor. Dates are right and other things kinda fit--but for some reason I am holding back. Something must not fit in my mind just yet. If this is the family I am looking for then Meador/Meadows is going to play a part in the families somewhere. For my husband's grandfather was Milton Meadow/Meador Taylor. The info I have on Brazos Co states that William son of Jesse had a son named Milton. I still have to do some searching and have not been able to get back to library to search. 1. Re: [TAYLOR] RE: Taylor in Maury Co. TN
    2. I would assume them to be the same family. In some of my family lines, I have had much bigger differences on the census records. For instance on my Hill line, my Riley H. Hill was shown as Grenade on the 1850 census, 1860 he was Royal and by 1870 he had finally turned into Riley. How in the world the census taker ever got Grenade out of Riley, I don't know. IvalonF@aol.com I do not think that it is safe to assume that these are the same families. Do you have any information to put them at the same homesite? Taylor is such a common name and the given names that these families share are also very common. The are many discrepencies which suggest to me that these are not the same families.
