    1. Re: [TAYLOR] TAYLOR in Burlington Co NJ 1677-1790 & Philadelphia 1790+
    2. Hello Pat Peck: There may be a connection here that needs developing. Bear with me. Sarah Diehl (1765-abt 1793) married Israel Elliott who is descendant from Christopher Taylor. Christopher, an outstanding and outspoken Quaker was born in 1620, Skipton-in-Craven, Yorkshire, England, arrived 1682, died Jun 20 1686. He married Francis _______ and had Israel, Joseph and Mary who married John Buzby/Busby in 1690. The Taylor's lived in Bucks County, PA, and then Tinicum Island. The Diehls lived on Tinicum Island before moving to New Castle, Delaware. Many Quakers settled in Bucks County, Fenwick Colony in Burlington County, NJ, Salem, NJ, and Delaware. I have been trying to establish the Elliott-Taylor relationship for some time with no success. So, as you search you might keep these people in mind because they may lead to the ancestors of Aaron Taylor. Good Luck and please keep me posted directly if you wish. George Diehl in Kansas City, Missouri

    2. Michael Haney
    3. JJ There are 220 taylors listed in the 1810 census for Kentucky, 480 listed in Virginia. There are no listings for either state in 1800. A first name would be helpful. The counties you listed came up blank, do you have any further info. 1. Re: [TAYLOR] 11 Taylor brothers
    2. JJ, All I have is the 1880 census, but I can get any state with it. I can also search out the states for them from a central index. It does take some information, such as birth date or about, etc. With common names a spouse is good and children too. But for a county I can just go there with the surname and search. You can finesse it several ways. There is no 1890c, except some for Union Vets. There are people on most of the lists who have the state or country CDs for different census records. Some have Ancestry.com, and they use that. I would ask on the VA and KY list if I were you. Carleen

    1. Re: [TAYLOR] 11 Taylor brothers
    2. Carleen, I have noticed where you have done census lookups in serveral states. I was wondering how extensive is your census. I am interested in Taylors in Floyd and Perry County KY and VA. These would be around 1800 and 1810. Can you help? I can get more details to help with the lookup. I remember that the precinct was Colly Creek. Also Joshua Dunns in Butler or Edmonson county KY, for the 1890 and 1900 census Thank you JJ

    3. I've been enjoying the information and the banter. Maybe if all the lists I belong to were this active, I would be getting a hint on what I need to break down some brickwalls. It seems like it has "loosened" up some people and allowed them to feel comfortable participating in the Taylor list. Joan De Fore
